I am still planning on creating my own coffee shop. My clientele will be towards teenagers who lack a place to "hang out" which will help because the coffee shop is quickly growing clientele between the ages of 14 - 18. I will place my shops as closely as possible to high schools (or at least a mile within one), so students will be able to easily access it via public transit or by foot (since most students, even those who are of legal age don't drive). But two companies who are competing in this business (not necessarily for the same clientele as I) are:

Dunkin' Donuts: I've worked with Dunkin' for about 1.5 years, and they seriously hate Starbucks. Their main goal for competing with them is to bring them similar products that are less "complicated" and more affordable. The "new concept" stores are adding more food to the menu (and were one of the first to start the "flatbread" sandwich trend).
Starbucks: Starbucks have Dunkin' and just about every other business in this industry beat but really by only one factor: location. Starbucks builds on average (nationally and internationally) about 5 stores each day. Their products are expensive, but are greatly recognized for their quality. Not only that, but they also sell music and other media, as well as merchandise from mugs to espresso machines!
I do have a business plan in mind, though not a new concept, I just plan to market the idea a little different. The pitch will mostly focus on how property owners should take advantage of the slow market conditions to improve their property so that they can enjoy it today and have the necessary upgrades to sell tomorrow (in a better economy). The value of the property have only dropped if one wants to sell. Since the construction industry has dropped labor prices have dropped and people are looking for work. It is a win win situation.
I have come up with a name for my golf instruction business plan. It is FULL SWING - Golf Instruction and Fitness Center. Other than that I have just been researching costs of equipment and weighing the pros and cons of leasing office space versus new construction.
Not sure yet If I am working with a partner or not, If i am then I will try to offer something to the project, If I am working by myself I have an idea to bring back the Drive-In movie, hopefully back to hampton roads. I will just try to researech locations and investors to start-up this project.
In the next 10years or so I would like to establish a few vacation homes in Trinidad, Tobago, Barbados and maybe even in New York or New Jersey. It may sound far off but to me there is never enough. Due to personal experiences I know this and i know there is alot of competition out there but I am determined.
i am planning on doing my project on a drive-thru 7-11 type store. somewhere where you can go to get snacks, drinks, or cigarettes without having to get out of your car. that is all i have thought of so far.
I have many different business plans that i would like to venture. One of these is having a designer shop for toddlers where parents can come in and share their unique styles that they may have for their kids. Personally, I am into dressing up little kids, my son for example always has to look good and to me I don't always have to use brand name clothing to make that happen. My biggest problem is that you have more options shopping for a girl than you do for a boy, and therefore having the opportunity to design clothing and adding my own mix and flavor to it is much better than spending hours trying to figure out what suits you and your kids style. I know there are parents out there that may have the same point of view and thats why this was one of my options. However, I also know that there are companys out there that are probably doing the same thing and thats where I need to do my research. I plan to be very hands on with my customers in working to make their ideas a reality.
I will be working with Felicia and Ken for the project. Our business is going to be a cafe called Bean Me Up Cafe. We have many ideas to benefit the employees,customers,community,and charities. We already have our mission statement and have begun to design the building and rooms of our cafe. We are working great together and coming up with many brilliant ideas. I won't go into specific details to protect our creativity and patent..lol.

My business plan is to start a Restaurant. This restaurant will either serve catfish or a variety of items. I have not thought of that part yet.
