Please share with your classmates and me your business/management experience. Do you have management expertise? What types of industries have you worked for? In other words, tell us about any previous business management experience or experience with business managers. Did you like his or her style of management?

Any ideas for your business plan?
I have never worked before so I have never had any bosses or management over me.
When I worked at a marina my manager was very high strung. It was his job to keep his employees busy, and so he did just that. If we had just finished a 2hour paint job or scrubbing oil off of the dock pad and we needed to stand and try to relax for a second or two, he would come around the corner and yell at us every time. He found it very neccessary to yell and scream, rather than calmly state his thoughts. I can't say that I'm too fond of management.
I work at Applebees, I have never actually managed anyone but the managers I do have there are extremely cool. They help out a lot and they are all around nice people.
My only work experience is working for my mom, so I've only experienced an informal approach to management.
I've never taken a business course before and have only learned about it from listening to my dad rant and watching the cnbc / kramer show. I hope to learn about business and management in greater detail from this course.
I used to work for a company at the Airport called FSS they are a contractor that took over USAIRways. US when bankrupt so they bought it and did not give us fly benifits and hate when we get overtime.
I have never had the title of manager in my industry but i have carried the responsibility for more than 150 employees. I've worked for FedEx Express for many years in various areas. I'm a people person and the employees enjoyed me working with them. I'm very direct about getting the job done and have never yelled to get any job completed probably because i've always been willing to go the extra mile and lend a hand in getting the work done.
I do hair and I have to deal with crazies all the time.SO I know how to deal with business and how to react with things go down.
ive never had any management experinced nor have i really had a job when i noticed the managers other than once waitress job but it was so long ago and the bussiness isnt even around anymore
